CTO

Together with the Ops & Org lead, I evolved Payflip’s existing Community Day (a monthly knowledge-sharing and experimentation initiative) into a 4 week format focused on learning about AI, LLMs, and agentic workflows. We designed it as a hackathon, bringing together cross-functional teams (e.g CSMs + engineers + sales) to solve real business or operational problems they had encountered. Teams were assessed based on the creativity of their solutions, the criticality of the problems they addressed, and the readiness of their solutions. This went hand in hand with Payflip’s further adoption of AI and the rollout of Claude Enterprise and Claude Platform agents into everybody’s hands for daily use.

Helmed the rollout of Generative AI in every operational corner of the company. Diffed different frontier labs in pricing, data residency, privacy and compliance. Rolled out Claude Enterprise to the company, linking it to the various other tools Payflip has in operations (Posthog, Hubspot, Slack, Drive), ensuring ZDR where appropriate, SSO integration and agent guardrails.

Software Engineer, Tech Lead

Lead engineer for a team of React Native engineers working within a consortium of 3 companies. This role consists of shaping architectural decisions, frequent client communication & decision making, guarding frontend quality over multiple subteams, training & coaching senior engineers, scaling the application to perform at 900K+ monthly active users. Started small with a team of 4 where I coded the software foundations, evolved to a guiding role over time. This way I could think together with the engineers, when guiding us to scale to 20 engineers divided over the different feature teams. Established a frontend practice to keep feature teams aligned, traversing ITP's company context so we could work together efficiently with 3 companies.

Technical Interviewer, Hiring Manager

A very qucikly joined the technical hiring crew for frontend/fullstack/mobile at ITP. I later scaled the hiring crew outside myself to 4 other members and when I became an Engineering lead owned the hiring of my department as hiring manager for all software engineering niches, tackling junior/senior mix, interview process, expansion to Bucharest, salary negotiations.

Software Engineer

Onecta became the consumer based evolution of the Madoka app, connecting HVAC to the cloud for milions of devices. I was on the Onecta app team, working with communcation protocols like mDNS, UDP and websockets. This became the reference React Native project architecturally at In The Pocket, and our app team grew to 10+ developers

Software Engineer

Developing maintainable & qualitative code for ITP's biggest React Native project back then. Cross platform mobile app for installers to provision and configure Daikin units. Communication was over Bluetooth & BLE, in React Native interoping with native Obj-C and Java code. Was an active challenger for the status quo and looked into automating our release flow, researching developer metrics. Established new foundations together with the team that still stand strong today at ITP.
